Henry King (1592–1669) was an English poet and clergyman who served as Bishop of Chichester. He is best remembered as a metaphysical poet, with his most famous work being "The Exequy," a poignant elegy for his wife. A friend of John Donne, King's poetry is characterized by its meditative, thoughtful quality and its exploration of love, loss, and mortality.Больше
