Picturesque

A picturesque day -

A day of unity

Which ends up in screams and tears,

Locking the community

Out of its resources

Repulsively.

It is not a nation that is guilty,

But a type of thinking,

A variation of behaviour.

Strength is experience gained

By crossing borders,

Transcending feelings,

Shifting expectations...

Re-evaluation needs to be done

Not by burning books

But by changing the world-outlook

Of the Alpha-generation.

Against pages

Torn out of history.

The process of cognition

Is the best ammunition,

The best remedy

For these tragedies

Is called

Memory.
