I found him at a corner

I found him at a corner - emotions, unique emotions

Munuru Srikanth

I found him sitting outside leaning onto the wall of my house

Sitting to a corner with no fear just looking at me when I move in and out

He is ranged from dark to reddish brown

With a white marking line over his eyes to his nose

He had a soft and smooth ears falling on his cheeks and a big almond shaped eyes

Two, three, four days,....and finally a week passed by but I did not understand his courage and boldness

He is not afraid of sticks, footwear, broom which I showed him to vacate the place

I tried to show all the hardware things to make him to move

But the funniest thing is he didn’t move a bit from his place

I tried for few days to make him leave, and finally left him on his own way

He is silent and may have a great observation I guess, but I didn’t get his intentions.

But One day I found hopeless eyes staring at me which made me go near him

I gave my hand to him ,he smelled with his soft nose which touched me wet

I gave him a quick massage on his head to make him comfortable with my presence

I could feel him hungry when he is grabbing my hand to stay with him

I gave him a cup full of milk twice and offered some biscuits

He stood up within two hours and walked down.

He started visiting everyday and sits at the same place where he used to

His routine is to see me once in the morning, if the door is closed he pushes the door with his cute head

I started understanding him better, named him and taught him how to give a shake hand with his leg

I was connected with him, and started understanding his emotions too

Not only me, my mother who was a dog hater started to take care of him.

He started showing all his naughty acts like pouting, anger, happiness, all the emotions which looked innocent.

He is a faithful, loyal always protecting me and my territories

At night he goes down for guarding my house

And everyday early in the morning he comes to say "don’t worry I am protecting you "

He loves me so much, only for one reason

I gave him a cup of milk twice and offered biscuits to eat on that day

So he decided to guard me safe till his last breath.

And I learned to accept and understand the nature around me

He still sits in the same place in the morning looking at the door to be opened, to see me

When I feel bad, down 'n' low and think everyone hates me

I'll rush towards the door with lots of hope to see his innocent face

Because I know whatever happens he will be waiting for me

With lots of love in him at the same place where he used to be.
