Father Death Blues

Hey Father Death,

I'm flying

Hey poor man, you're all

Hey old daddy,

I know where I'm

Father Death,

Don't cry any

Mama's there, underneath the

Brother Death, please mind the

Old Aunty Death  Don't hide your

Old Uncle Death  I hear your groansO Sister Death  how sweet your moansO Children Deaths go breathe your

Sobbing breasts'll ease your

Pain is gone, tears take the

Genius Death  your art is

Lover Death  your body's

Father Death  I'm coming

Guru Death your words are

Teacher Death I do thank

For inspiring me to sing this

Buddha Death,

I wake with

Dharma Death, your mind is

Sangha Death, we'll work it

Suffering is what was

Ignorance made me

Tearful truths I cannot

Father Breath once more

Birth you gave was no thing

My heart is still, as time will tell.
