Yesterday for my birthday,
I started off
with a bottle of wine
I took the train

Old Noah he had an ostrich farm and fowls on the largest scale,
He ate his egg with a ladle in a egg-cup big as a pail,
And the soup he took was Elephant Soup and fish he took was Whale,
But they all were small to the cellar he took...

Give me women, wine, and snuff Until I cry out "hold, enough
" You may do so sans objection Till the day of resurrection;
For bless my beard they aye shall be My beloved Trinity

If wine and music have the
To ease the sickness of the soul,
Let Phoebis every string explore,
And Bacchus fill the sprightly bowl:

The illuminated streets grow   Quiet,  and coaches rush along, adorned with torches
Men go home to rest, filled with the day's pleasures;   Busy minds weigh up profit and loss contentedly At home
