Their ghosts in gales
Woe's us,
Stone Fleet!
And all for naught.
The waters pass—Currents will have their way;
Nature is nobody's ally; 'tis well;
The harbor is bettered—will stay.
A failure, and complete,
Was your Old Stone Fleet.
