Grey Eyes

Grey eyes!

Her looks were kisses plain to see.

I gave her glances back to her —Glad eyes!

Dim eyes!

Out of her fellowship so

Light eyes!

She gave some gladness unto me.

And I gave?

As we turned apart —Dead eyes!

I saw the shudder in her heart.
