And so I kept going.
The next door was

In here were the memories I locked away,
Even from myself.
And so I kept going.
The next door was
Ominous and dark.
This held my emotions,
Keeping them out of my way,
So I kept going.
At last I reached a door,
Warm to the touch,
a light emanating from it.
I opened the door to the faces
Of all my loved ones smiling at me.
A I saw their warm smiles,
I fell to the ground,
Dropping the knife.
I couldn’t do it,
Not with them smiling so hopefully...
